Celebrating 25 Years of IE&ES: A Journey Towards a Sustainable Tomorrow
Established in 2001, the Institute of Ecotoxicology & Environmental Sciences (IE&ES)marks a significant milestone in 2026, celebrating 25 years of commitment to environmental research, education, awareness, and sustainable development.
Registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, IE&ES is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering collaboration in ecotoxicology and environmental sciences. Over the past quarter-century, the Institute has provided a platform for students, researchers, academicians, professionals, and policymakers to exchange ideas, share scientific knowledge, and explore solutions to emerging environmental challenges.
Through its national and international conferences, workshops, training programmes, scientific interactions, and awareness initiatives, IE&ES has continually promoted interdisciplinary research and the responsible application of science for environmental protection. Its flagship International Conference on Ecotoxicology and Environmental Sciences (ICEES) has served as an important forum for scientific dialogue and collaboration since 2007.
As IE&ES celebrates its Silver Jubilee, it reaffirms its commitment to addressing contemporary environmental concerns through scientific innovation, public engagement, and collaborative action. Looking ahead, the Institute aspires to strengthen its role in promoting environmental sustainability, ecosystem health, and a healthier future for generations to come.
